Until that point, Nino worked in the meat industry as a butcher to a large meat company for well over a decade. He quickly discovered that he wanted to provide something different than what these big corporations were generating.  So when his brother Juan proposed they start their own boutique shop, there was no hesitation in making that dream a reality. Nino went from a butcher for commercial companies to a curator of the finest meats in the Bay area. 

 

The Lopez-Ochoa brothers are giving “buying local” a whole new meaning. They have brought the exclusivity of meats from all over the world market into the convenience of the neighborhood shop. Their selection includes everything from Fabriques Delices’s French artisanal charcuterie to New York-style sausage and Halal meats. They wanted to become the community go-to for the finest meats while still providing accessible prices. The community’s needs have always been at the forefront of their core values. The family-run business takes pride in their home and works with local charities to provide food for those in need.
